Loyalty Points: Changing Points Redemption calculation

NOTE: This topic refers to the Loyalty Points feature which is an extra feature added on request.  If you do not have this feature on your POS and wish to use it, please contact our support team.  Also, this feature is only available in SambaPOS V5 or above.

NOTE: This guide assumes you know how to access the Manage section in SambaPOS.  If unsure, please check this guide on Accessing Manage Section.

From the Manage screen, navigate to Automation [1] > Rules [2].

On the Rules List screen, select the PRM Use Points [3] rule under the Automation Command Executed section, then click Edit Rule [4].

IMPORTANT: Take extra care when modifying rules.  Making accidental changes may affect the operation of your POS software!

On the Edit Rule screen, expand the PRM Update Order action [1], then enter the redemption discount calculation into the Price field [2] (see below) then click Save [3].

Redemption Discount Calculations

Here are a few examples of typical values to enter into the Price field [2] above.  Simply copy and paste the line exactly into the field.

1. Percentage Discount

5% discount:

[={PRICE}*0.95]

50% discount:

[={PRICE}*0.5]

You can change the values above for other % discounts.
